Four of us - Myself, Wayne, Eric, and Wenhoe, paid Genting Highlands a visit last week. This trip was supposed to be good, but I think overall it didn't go that well as expected. We got there pretty late, so we didn't do much. We dropped by at the Chin Swee Caves Temple beneath Genting Highlands. Was supposed to stay the night at Amber Court but I almost peed my pants. Read on.

It was beautiful. Serene and peaceful
(although Genting is known to be well haunted).

We were thousands feet above sea level!

This is what happens in hell if you sin in life. Slicing your tongue, digging out your womb and eyes. This is considered a kind punishment. There's 18 chambers in hell. The more you sin, the further you go. They even cook your soul alive in a pot of cooking oil or hook you to death. I think it's cruel but this is God's arrangement. I know Christianity doesn't work this way. You might think it's bullocks, but since I'm a Buddhist, I'd better believe it. So do not sin! Few things you do that will bring you to hell - cheating, fraud, false accounting, abortion, gambling, deceiving people, etc. Not to mention raping and murdering. If you've done any of these, I'm sorry but you're going to hell. LOL. Try to compensate by doing good deeds.
The name Chin Swee is named after the late Genting's pioneer Mr Lim's reverend.

My dad had a free stay at Amber Court from this membership thing. That was the reason
why we came to Genting. The last time I stayed in Amber Court was 12 years ago, barely
remember the place. It's beneath Genting Highlands, about 15-20 minutes drive. And I warnyou, it's fucking creepy! On the way there, we passed by abandoned buildings like these.
It was very quiet and ours was the only vehicle there.

Another abandoned building! It was scaring the shit out of us even before we arrive.
And guess what happens when we arrived?

Tada! The super duper famous Amber Court, famous for being one of the most haunted
places in Genting. I really don't advise anyone to go there, read on and you'll know why.

Paintings were falling apart.
The Ghost Tale..
It was really cold and damp that afternoon. We stopped at the main entrance of Amber Court and gave second thoughts whether we should enter. Thanks to Wayne, he suggested we should have a look first since we've driven all the way here. As we entered the lobby, there was only one receptionist at the counter. The rest of the area was empty and hollow, all sundry shops were closed down, as if I have just entered a building under renovation. The entire building was so vacant you could listen to your echo traveling through the hallway. We asked to check in, and guess which floor we were given? It was freaking the 14th floor! According to Chinese superstition number 14 signifies a bad omen. I wanted to change to a lower level but the receptionist insisted it can't be done. I was thinking, there are no guests in this apartment so why the fuck is he being a bitch. It was his intention to get rid of us by giving us the haunted room I believe.
We took the lift up to the 14th floor, as doors opened and we saw no one, as it should be. Quiet and cold, we walked towards our room and Wayne inserted the keys. What a surprise, the door had padlocks, hm... weird. It took him awhile struggling to open the door, and out of no where I suddenly heard a girl howl like a wolf. It wasn't like someone getting raped yelling for help. It was the ideal howling of a female ghost. The howling lasted 5 seconds long and I swear I was not hallucinating. I didn't know where the scream came from so I looked around and everywhere, wondering where's the source of it. It was so weird, didn't seem to come from above or below. It was like a surround sound which went like "Aaaaaaaaaa......." with a long echo following. When it stopped, I turned around and asked the guys, "Did you hear what I just heard..?" With a pause, they nodded. Right away, I felt as though my legs were crippling.
Moments later, Wayne managed to open the door. I had no idea why we still wanted to check out the room after hearing noises. He pushed it open, it opened slowly with creeky noises. And, Eric the smart said, "Omg. Why is the fridge opened?" It was nothing really but his reaction caused panic in all of us so Wayne shut the door and all of us walked quickly to the lift and checked out. Lol. We wanted to run but the guys were pretending to stay cool and calm. When I returned the keys back to the receptionist, he did not question me at all. He obviously knows this place too well. It was barely 5 minutes and we heard voices already, let alone staying for the night. I still remember that scream so clearly in my head. I never believed in after life till then, although it was only a scream but it couldn't possibly occur in that situation which made me believe. We drove away as fast as we could. I will never ever go back to Amber Court, even if I get paid a thousand bucks! Ask anyone who knows, this place is truly haunted.
Ok, that was bout it. Thank God that was it!
I kept looking back while typing on my keyboard.

OMG ! Tht building structure already manage to scare the shit outta me. HAhahaah
I swear..it did gave me a chill on my spine simply by reading your post man..
Did you experience it or was it someone's story?
But anyway, the brownish red stuff at the building is actually not blood stain or what. It's a type of fungus called 'lichen'. It grows on humid places like Genting and Britain and it's green. When it dies, it turns into this colour.
I don't find the building creepy. It's just lack of maintenance, probably because it's not generating much income for the business/group.
Leonard - hahaa. I know. so freaky right. That building's gona close down already. Nobody goes there anymore..
Kevinpnp - does it sound like someone else's story? If so, which part? And I know it's not blood stain. haha. It's the painting lah. The railing on every balcony is painted in orange. I think because of the weather or rain, the paint drops of and drips to the bottom. I saw the railing's had patches here and there.
Wait till you're there. I dare you to stay there!
lol amber court's not bad la..went there before...even drove in the middle of the night..it just looks damn creepy..but the rooms are actually not that bad
we got to stay there for free as well..so no complaints =D
Yea the room is actually quite nice, looks comfy. How many of u guys went? I won't dare to go there anymore! It's funny that u didn't experience anything unusual. Was it during peak season?
Interesting... Will check out Amber Court next time ;)!
Touge King,
Yes please. If you're the ghost hunter type of people, Amber Court welcomes you with arms open wide.
Just make sure you don't go alone tho!
Hey girl, you are right! that scream you heard it is real alright ! You are not the first and only person to experience it. Believe me it is real !!!!!
Anonymous,
Wow. have you heard it before?
I think it's real seriously. I can tell when it's human or else. :S
been there.. seen it. freakin scaryyy..
its all much worse than it looks in the pictures.
keep in mind that some of the shit cant even be captured on camera.so you cant see it all from here..
everythings a set up.. going there after knowing all this would be like burying yourself alive..
one way ticket to the spiritual world
miracle 2 be alive
Went there before..with friends ..4 of us..but i guess we're lucky? coz we don't hear..or see anything there..
stayed a night n yeah its effin cold..the room is ok tho..clean n stuff..
the only weird thing is that the room infront our's is locked with chains and padlocks..ya know those big chains..not the one u use for bicycle lol! so just imagine big chains with 3 locks..and the lights was on..we can see from below the door u see..so the question is...whose inside? and whats with the chains?spoooky~
Anonymous,
yea it looks quite bad than it is in photos. lol, i'm still alive, isit a miracle? It's not like entering hell, well not technically, but it's not a one way ticket. Lol. But no matter how much I say, it wont matter, you must experience it for yourself =)
FeLine,
that's quite a surprise you do not experience anything unusual, because everyone who's been there, there's always a story. It's funny, don't you get the hint when you see a room with padlocks n chains all over? If I were I'll just leave, that was what happened..
planing to stay at amber court there too this xmas. I know is far but does they have free transportation to first world?
szern,
No transportation from Amber Court to first world. Well u better be extra careful n prepared if you'd like to take this risk. Suggest you to go in a group of 4 atleast ;)
hey ive slept there 1 night,and it is very very HAUNTED SIAL.. carefull tho it might follow u back home.
Can you read chinese? If can then it will be much easier for you to understand Buddhism.
Kuan Yin Pu Sa is the level of enlightenment that almost become Buddha.
A real Buddhist should be believe without doubt Buddha, learn and practicing Buddhism and become a Buddha.
yes.. totally HAUNTED SIAL!!
hey...i was looking for places to stay at genting...and i read a lot of reviews about amber court and ria apartment saying that they are haunted...and i thought maybe, the management of the hotel/apartment WANTS the place to b known for its haunted-ness..i mean, some stuff is like trying too hard to make it look scary..like the padlocks for example..i really dont think the padlock will lock the ghosts...it looks more like the management are trying too hard to scare the people with the padlock idea..most probably the place initially is already not famous and not doing so well, so the ,management might want to make it a 'haunted place' so that the place will indirectly b famous..so that so called 'ghost-hunters' will want to stay there ..so that the place will get a 'ghost rating'..i mean it only makes sense that way.. but then again, this is just from my point of view la..some cases could be true,,and plus genting highlands is surrounded by a jungle and hills...sure a bit 'dirty' wan la..but anyways, just an advice, everytime u wanna stay in a room, knock on the main door before u enter as a sign of respect and permission to stay...anyway, hope u're still not affected badly by the stay..haha..
Chew Chua,
I understand Mandarin but very bad oral. I don't really understand Buddhism, all I know is there's loads of different gods and saints. Complicated!
Looking-for-a-place,
I always see ghost hunters going to forests in Thailand, Indonesia, etc. Haven't seen any ghost hunters in Genting? That'll be an interesting documentary! I doubt its any publicity stunt about making their hotel reputation as 'haunted'. I believe 101% its effing haunted since my encounter in Amber Court. I still refuse to believe but the noise I heard was very evident, not only by me alone. Thinking about it now gives me goosebumps. OMG
omg. i simply search through "amber court" and found yours post here, damn amber court is SCARY!. i just pass by outside and took some photo of it. didn't really check how it look like from inside. my friend who got a night free stay in this hotel. and he told me is even horrible inside compare to outside of the hotel
Donz,
I believe people only visit Amber Court for one reason, to witness for themselves how creepy this place is. There isn't a point to set foot into that place unless you are part of Ghost Hunters filming an episode of "A night in Amber". lol
did any of you notice the sporean cars parked there? i remember going there in 2004 and i saw alot of sporean cars there. I saw some of the units have clothes hanging out of the balcony. So I guess someone is staying there, could be the sporean mistresses ? I dont know..i guess the sound that shelyn hear maybe is not ghostly..could just be them making the noises..:P
Hey Guys I think Amber Court has a character of itself.I dont think its spooky.Besides it was full house during New Year 2010.The only thing i find it spooky is the car park.C,mon,spirits will inhabit a building if its not vacated for more than 40days. The only ghosts that day was just my friends and i blasting Dubstep music till the security guard came up.It was awesome
Singaporeans mistresses, lol no way. I know what I heard and been 2 years now I still remember it so well. And full house during new year? I really doubt that there is no reason even for one floor to be booked. I can't find any way to believe that, or what you're seeing may not be.... human? lol
hey i just found ur blog! i had a similar experience at amber court in genting and i wrote a blog about it, hope u come check it out!
hello. just wanna share my story too ;). i've stayed there on last january with another 5 friends and we rented 2 rooms. yeah, it's creepy since we arrived there at 2 in the morning. can u imagine? drive all the way there and the only people we saw was a guard who then lead us to the room. yeah our rooms were at 14th level too i guess. i wonder why they gave us such rooms at the top since there were more rooms down there. we were getting more puzzled when we saw many rooms that were nailed with woods. i stayed with my bf in the only room in our apartment and another couple were in the living hall. the rest who didnt arrived yet will be staying in the room next door. i cleaned myself first and i heard screams,laughs,people chattering and a lot more voices. i wonder what my friends were doing since they were supposed to be very tired because of the long journey from johor. i went out too see them , and guess what?? there were only me and my bf in the room! on the next day, all 6 of us were ready to have fun at the theme park. as we were ready to get out, the door that was locked inside suddenly opened all by itself! without having second thought, we checked out quickly and went to the theme park. i'm already having goosebump while typing the story. thanks for reading!
act ghost or maybe spirit was anywhere in this world... its maybe behind u rite now... but its not about spirit or ghost... but its about hows u handle this kind of thing... as a Buddhist or any religion u have ur own way how to pray... so dun 4get ur god... as long as u stick with ur belief and religion theres no need to be afraid wif this creepy things... cox nothing is powerful than our god who create us...the world... and etc... but if u still was disturbed by this thing even u r religious person... its meant theres something wrong wif ur belief or religious n u should learn more from people who really known well. so.. as a conclusion.. dun let ur life was covered by mystery...check it out..! adios
*and one more thing... u soooooo BEAUTIFULL..... ahakzz! adios
You are soooo beautiful... do you mind be my friend.?
@Aisha,
I read your post and certainly story a little similar to mine. Thanks for visiting and reading!
Anonymous,
I find it so believable that it happened because that's th least 'they' could do. And I applaud you for the courage to actually stay the night!
Anonymous,
Hm well i'm not afraid of spirits and the paranormal, and I am what you said that people should be because I did nothing wrong so really, I'm not bothered by it. I've had personal experiences with these things thats why I'm so convinced in their existence. Just that some times people scare themselves by imagining things like on horror film lol. Thanks for sharing and also the compliment!
@Alex Lee,
Yup. Virtual friend sound good :)
I happened to recount my Amber Court experience to my friends yesterday which prompted me to do a search on it this morning after i was told Amber Court was haunted all this while. I never knew though i clearly remember the place was ultra creepy and gave me goosebumps just by the sight of it.
Anyway, my encounter went like this.
It happened about 5 years ago. My parents were given a 1-night stay from one of their time-sharing membership from a company called "Leisure XXX" (can't recall full name). Like i said, my family and i never knew about Amber Court and its history. With that, we naturally went with a light and happy heart.
Our journey there was fine but i remembered we had a little problem locating the apartment and were already creeped out when we drove along the lone misty roads. It felt as though we were driving into Dracula's lair. Upon seeing the apartment, i was slightly perturbed by its exterior. That aside, we went ahead with registration and proceeded to look for our apartment.
At first, we got to the wrong block. Not sure how that happened. When we finally located our apartment, i noticed an overturned dried rose and several other objects strung together and tied to the top of the door. I kept my cool and stayed calm although i remembered i was really spooked out by that.
Nothing much happened when we got into the apartment. We dropped our bags and headed out for dinner. On our way back, it started to drizzle lightly and by the time we got back into the apartment, it had started to rain. The wind and the pelting of the rain drops caused the windows to slam against its hinges (ie: sliding door being pushed in and out. Still, we kept a rationale mind.
It was after all of us had fallen asleep. I happened to bunk on the couch in the living room with my sister. She was fast asleep and i was trying to fall asleep when suddenly, the tap in the kitchen started gushing water. Fear gripped me. I wanted to wake my sister up but was also trying to pretend to fall asleep and ignore the water but it was too much for me. Don't ask me why, but i got up, ran to the kitchen, turned the tap off (yes, it literally was as though someone twisted the tap on and it wasn't a loose tap) and ran back to the couch and forced myself to sleep.
I did a google yesterday and saw just how there are so many stories about amber court! I've almost forgotten about it till my conversation with my friends over lunch yesterday. Good to know it wasn't just me.
@sherina,
Wow, kudos to you girl..! Not only you decided to stay the night, you went ahead to turn off the tap! And I think you must be referring to the Leisure Holidays membership, that was the EXACT same reason I planned to stay at Amber Court when I had this ghostly experience, free stay in the haunted apartment haha. Well I hope you wasn't terrified then (I'm sure you were not). Thanks for sharing your story sherina!
i just happened to remember my 1st wedding anniversary experience and wanted to google it...omg never expected to come across this many stories of amber court...i was there 6 yrs back...
my baby was just 3 mths n it was our 1st anniversary...so my hubby n i decided to go to genting as weekend getaway...thank god i didnt bring my baby wt me...it was a last minute plan so we didnt book a hotel...it was school holiday n all hotel was full...so someone there told us abt amber court n we decided to go there...it was noon wen we went there so the drive wasnt that scary...wen we reached there my hubby went in to check d place out n not even a minute he came out n said " this place n people remind me of horror movie"...he wanted me to come take a look....at the reception there was this creepy lookin old man n never actually talked anything...the place was damn quiet n there was a father wt his 2 sons playing ping pong...but it was vry weird tat i was standing nxt to them watching them play but they nvr turned n look at me or talk anything to each other...i agreed wt my husband...it was exactly like a scene frm horror movie wher everyone looks weird n creepy...but despite all tat we stil decide to stay there...how silly....but thank god we didnt hear any voices or noises...i was not scared coz i hv my hubby by my side...but he had a tough time to sleep hoping tat no ghost show up...:)
@Anonymous,
The fact that there was two people playing table tennis in the quiet lobby and not saying a word, is WEIRD enough. You were silly, but silly enough you were lucky nothing happened! phewh...
Hello there . I'm Putra . Anyhoo , what you said was pretty damn true !! I went there yesterday but unlucky me , every hotel were fully booked and so there's a guy offered me RM200 for this apartment . I payed the guy and went straight to this Apartment . I can say you're brave as hell to actually go to the room . Haha . The minute i arrived it looks exactly like those pictures . It's like a place full of crime scene . I kept picturing myself being stab by almost anybody there . And there was no coverage . Anything could've happen . So I drove off real quick before anybody recognizes my car . And now by reading your post , I just knew that it is haunted . Haha . Thank god I didn't spend a night there .
hiie shelyn lim,
do u mind to be volunteer for making a movies in there ?
@Putra,
You should've read my post before you paid that guy 200 bucks for a haunted apartment. And you were by yourself? lol.
@Anonymous,
I would love to!
i would like to stay there.. experience and record it.. anybody wan give me free coupon to stay there???
Shelyn, your story is the first one I read with regards to haunted Amber Court. While the howling and tap are not exactly "scary", 2 persons playing ping pong yet not chatting/saying "Hello" to others in a nearly deserted hotel is uncanny. Did the security guard look suspicious? I am Singaporean btw and I do NOT have mistresses at Amber Court. :)
@Gin,
You must be another paranormal enthusiast. You don't need a coupon. All you need is just a camera and a bit of luck. And maybe, a companion... :)
@Rykel,
You don't need to justify your background about not having mistresses, besides I don't see the relevance to the rest of your comment. Anyhoo, yes it was quite strange to see two people playing ping pong in the deserted lobby. No security guard, just a very quiet receptionist who doesn't seem bothered. Definitely haunted.
ive been there few years ago.. all i can say is FUCKING CREEPY!!!
@Sophie,
I don't mean to pry but why did you go to Amber Court? I still wonder why people would visit this place, especially if they had to pay for it.
hor hor i thought you mentioned gambling will send you to hell after your death! and you lost big bucks =x
@Kevin,
I know, for I have sinned! Sigh... *Looks ahead*
It happen to be last 2 weeks ago, we went to the casino and of course we both win big,Both us so cheer until. It was around 3.45am midnite when we make our move back. However strange things started to happen, We couldnt find out our car parking in the parking bay of the first world hotel, till we have to seek authority to help us. It was around 4.15am only we drove out from the First floor, and the roads is fully covered by the mist, As a common traveller to Genting, We both have no idea how we were stuck into the road downhill until we saw the signboard heading to Amber Court. I know this place but i never been there as it was abandoned. As we already in mid way finally my frd stop the car , We both have no idea wether move on or turn back as the later on, i saw some shadow in front of our car this terrified us and no much words, we turned back , few minutes later, My frd told me to ask one lady with tudung for direction which just standing by the misty road.. with the back facing us . when our car slowed down just beside the lady, she doesnt even turned back . Ghost or Human ,, CHao la... Still wan ask direction meh.. We keep on praying along the journey until we finally make it to the highway.. personally i dont think there would be any malay woman will stand there as it was no one around in 4 something midnite.. and if its human, how come she doesnt turn to us when our car just beside her.
That's 1 of my father's friend's property .... there are many butterflies in the basement right ? chinese people believes that spirits haunt those innocent butterflies and never rest in peace...it was so old ...less people know this place that's why it leaves it abandoned ...when i was a 4 years old child i stayed there with my family and i remember those sounds especially at dawn ..many wind blowing and making those creepy sounds making those windows collide with the frame ...THUD THUD sounds...
Hi, I love your Amber Court story! I wrote a story about my Ria Apartment experience some years back in my own blog as well. That time I stayed there with a group of 10 colleagues and had a really fun time drinking and playing blackjack and poker. Around midnight to 2am we got really bored and decided to stare out the window and spy on units in the other block. The 2 apartment blocks in Ria are actually facing each other so you will get a good view of the units in the adjacent block and in turn they have a good view of us as well.
All of us were there staring out of the window and scanning the units above and below looking for 'suspicious activities' we could watch, since there was no tv in the apartment unit we were living in. All of a sudden i spotted a unit with no curtains and a woman in her 20s, running towards the window and stopped and was waving frantically for attention!
What happened next was a guy coming up behind her, grabbed her waste and both of them collapsed onto the bed located near the window.
I thought I was the only on seeing this so I asked my colleagues if they saw this 'incident' too and they all said they did! So all of us focused our attention to that particular unit to see what happened next. (hehe...) and guess what? The girl ran to the window again, waved frantically and the same guy grabbed her and they fell on the bed again, exactly like what happened a minute ago. We were stunned!
This went on for a while, exactly like someone pressed the rewind button. Guess what? After 1-2 hours, we witnessed the same incident over and over again till we got really bored of it. We pulled the curtains and decided to go to sleep since it was almost 3-4am.
Later that morning, I remember waking up very early around 7am and peeped at that unit again to see if there was the 'incident' going on and guess what I saw? It looked like an abandoned unit which no-one has lived in for years, all the windows were boarded up with planks! This incident happened back in 2002 (almost 10 years ago) but from time to time I still think about it and it really gives me the creeps!
I haven't been to Amber Court tho, but if Ria was bad, this looks wayyy worst!
I been to Amber Courts many times.
The 1st time is not so bad. l went there with my family and pet. About 27 kg. 1st experience was knocking on the sliding glass door. The 2nd time nothing happen but the 3rd time was terrible.It was my nephew graduating from U. He went there with his friend. Me,my mother and this time l bring along my same pet too. After dinner, they went out to casino left me and mum and pet. It was like almost 11.30. l heard doors being slam from our outside of our units and mu dog keep on barking.
I did bring along some Buddhist chanting prayers and play it so loud. That thing didn't dare to come to our unit until i stop the prayers. We were inside the room with my dog.The room comes with a wooden sliding door.Until we witness and hear our unit entrance door being force open and being bang like mad.My dog quickly jump down and l open the sliding door and l saw my god sniff the scent of the ghost to the toilet.
The next day when l drove back to KL,I did not feel anything but upon reaching home oh boy, as if my whole Yin is being suck out and l was totally so dead tired. Even a slight move l can't move and the same thing happened to my mother.
This is AITDark. Oh Amber Court. That hotel just normal to me. last several years ago i rent it every month for vacation + hangout. Some of my friend were scared. Some just didnt care. I have experiance 1 time we got the top floor. It really spooky but its nothing. 1 night me and my gf heeard several men and girl chasing playing in next room. it so noisy i just shout at it. but it didnt keep quiet. i tot it was a ghost. in morning i saw people at next balcony. huhu. By the way the frigde alway open because they wanna get out the smell. Its cheap and it appartment. i like it hehe. i like spooky place.
@Dave Geh
Ria is also another really haunted place but is not as deserted as Amber Court. Your story sounded kinda creepy you must've thought about it being eerily strange when you witnessed the incident. Thank God you guys are all okay though.
@Anonymous
So many different stories about Amber Court. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming! Proves all these experiences we've had have one conclusion in common: Amber Court is definitely haunted. Period.
All the stories here makes me eager to try it out for myself! Haha... But I guess I'll never do it cos I'm too chicken shit! Prob not as brave as I was when I was in my 20s tho. I guess the reason why everyone was given rooms on one particular floor was bcos only that floor is open for short term rental tenants (from my experience as a real estate negotiator la). The other floors are probably being occupied by residents... or 'residents'...
Another theory I have that could explain all the shit that goes on there is, since the management who rents out the units on the designated floor to people knows that there are people paying for short term rentals on say, weekends, they will create some elaborate hoax to scare guests away so that the units will be open for other guests to book, say, I book for a saturday, then check-in and get freaked out cos there's someone wailing or howling and immediately leave, I can tell the reception to open up that unit to another unsuspecting person that comes to rent. See the logic and opportunity here? The more freaked out u are, the more money they will make!
Of course if you get freaked out and don't leave, then they only make 1x the rental for that particular day la... Then they will have to come up with worst shit to scare guests...
My Ria story would prob stick in my mind for a long time, I guess thats how hauntings can change the way you look and analyse things. Of course some things can be analysed by logic and science, but some other things may not be as simple as what we think. :)
hi shelyn..
yr story gives me creeps!! but i went to genting so many times b4, believe it or not, i never saw that amber court!!..in fact, i never knew that amber court is really exist at genting!..on my next trip, sure i'll go to amber court to see for my self..
whut. my uncle bought a unit there and me and my family of 3 generations has been staying there every time we go to Genting since many years ago, but nothing happened at all. there's no roars or any creepy sounds at all except for our echo (lol). and there's a mini mart at the lower floor, snooker room, table tennis room (i saw people playing there before so), etc. also the car park always has cars, although not many.
i think its just you guys imagining stuffs. y'know, people can't think properly when they're panicking.
our unit is at 9th floor btw.
Ghosts exist...they are not wondering spirits of the dead but rather waht we call the jins or genies ...They are made from fire and they can't be seen but can appear to human vision by transforming themselves into animal and even human forms...they live much in the same way as us humans.. they normally live away from humans ..in remote forests, hills, mountains, lakes, waterfalls aretheir favourite places...so when humans develops areas that are initially their places of dwelling...these beings get angry...we would too, right, if people disturb our homes...these beings live long lives...up to 700-800 years....so u can imagine the site where Amber Court is built could have been their homes for hundreds of years....Actually before developing a place ...we should send people who are well versed in this matter to negotiate with them and coax themto shift elsewhere..its better than to traumatise them in aggressive ways...which may cause them to react in a similar way....actually u can even talk to them...they listen...and maybe theywill cooperate by not disturbing you...during your stay there..if u have the guts to do that ..ie...they are everywhere...they are God's creation just like us...so we should not really be afraid of them.....
@Ixora Azura,
It's not that near to Genting and you wouldn't normally pass by Amber Courts to get there. But trust me, there's no reason for you to even want to go there.
@Anonymous,
I don't really believe in such things either but I am sure enough I wasn't hallucinating or imagining things to write a blog post about it. I definitely heard what I heard along with 3 other people. I'm not surprised you don't have any encounters either because there are chances you don't encounter unseen paranormal things. I don't doubt that.
Wow, I was looking up on haunted stories in Genting, and found yours.
Just looking at the outside condition of the building is enough to convince me this place is really haunted. Maybe I will check it out one day when I go to Genting. Is it easy to get there?
I do believe that ghosts exist and have a couple of experiences myself, but I am not sure if these are really departed souls or not.
@Darrin
This place IS haunted and its true story. If not, someone must've been making noises playing prank but I highly doubt it. It's below Genting Highlands, near the mushroom farm they have a sign board showing the direction to Amber Court. Takes about 20 minutes drive from top of Genting.
